I cant figure out how to work this thing

Its a great app seriously but its kinda hard to figure out if your tuned right.It is very hard to tune,I mean if your right where the tone is supost to sound right, and the person thats playing thinks its not right and they whip out this app how are they supost to know if its right if something is not telling them?
